Maheesh Theekshana is a Sri Lankan spin bowler recognised for his variations, control, and ability to operate effectively in limited-overs cricket. Born on August 1, 2000, in Colombo, he developed through domestic cricket and became known for a bowling style that can make scoring difficult in the middle overs. His ability to vary pace and trajectory allows him to challenge batters who are looking to attack spin.

Theekshana has represented Sri Lanka internationally and has also gained experience in franchise cricket. He is particularly valuable in ODI and T20I matches, where controlling the run rate and taking wickets can change the direction of an innings. His selection for both October 2026 white-ball squads reflects his importance to Sri Lanka's spin-bowling resources.
