Lahiru Udara is a Sri Lankan batter and wicketkeeping option who has built his career through domestic cricket. His experience in the local game has helped him develop the skills needed to contribute behind the stumps and with the bat. Wicketkeeper-batters can provide important balance to a team, and his ability to cover more than one role offers useful selection flexibility.

Udara was included in Sri Lanka's T20I squad for the Pakistan tour in October 2026. The call-up gives him an opportunity to adapt to the demands of international cricket and compete for a place in the playing XI. His progress will depend on making the most of opportunities, maintaining reliable wicketkeeping, and contributing valuable runs when required.
